“Whether it's a child or group of children experiencing golf for the first time, an adult beginner; whether it's a regular golfer who wants to find some improvement and a better playing experience; or even someone who wants to reach their full potential and play competitive golf, we have coaching solutions that bring together effective learning with positive experiences.
It's been my passion ever since I can remember, and I look forward to surprising you with just how good you can be.”
This Year I am proud to announce that myself, Hollow Brook and Just Play Soccer Club will be partnering to host the 2nd Annual Just Play Soccer Club Scholarship Fund Golf Outing on Monday August 25th.
Most of you are aware I have a passion for golf but away from the course my love for soccer is unrivaled. Having grown up in England and playing soccer at a high level during my younger years before finally taking my coaching badges and finding myself coaching youth soccer in the USA it has always been in my blood. For those of you that know my family it is clear to see that I have passed on my love of the game to my son Hayden.
Because of the path Hayden has taken locally I have found myself becoming involved with Just Play Soccer Club and the Joe Palumbo Soccer Academy based at Bryant Pond Road in Putnam Valley. The Club has over 30 boys and girls soccer teams aged between Under 9s and Under 19s. On top of that the Academy sees over 300 boys and girls participate in training and scrimmages on a weekly basis as well as their 8 week long summer camp program.
The goal of the club is to give local children the best training possible and allow them opportunities to play at the highest level possible, As with most sports the cost can be prohibitive to some families, with that in mind last year I organized a golf outing at Hollow Brook to raise money to give scholarships to players who need assistance. The funds raised that day allowed 8 players to become part of the club and start their soccer journey.
